Building homes for today, foundations for the future

St Joseph Affordable Homes is a building and construction social enterprise. St Joseph Affordable Homes exists to deliver social and affordable homes and provides substantial employment opportunities and wellbeing supports for young Tasmanians. We provide training and employment opportunities, specifically much needed trade apprenticeships in a range of construction areas, gained through an in-house apprenticeship scheme.

our history

We are a Catholic building and construction social enterprise designed to deliver positive social outcomes for Tasmanians. St Joseph Affordable Homes aims to utilise the extensive affordable and social housing building programs of CatholicCare Tasmania and Centacare Evolve Housing to provide apprenticeship, employment and mentoring support services for young Tasmanians and their families.

our projects

St Joseph Affordable Homes aims to build just over 100 homes in its first year

In July 2020 three projects commenced with a total of 28 dwellings currently under construction. We anticipate constructing 120 social and affordable housing properties a year in southern Tasmania. This will provide apprenticeships for approximately 15 young individuals per year.
